Part I: Can't think of a better way to go...
While walking the building gathering recycling this morning, I mentioned to the Day Porter that she needed to learn how to do this because, "...when I quit, you're going to have to do all this."
DP:"Wait! You can't quit!"
Me:"Yes, I can. I have a mouth and everything."
DP:"But quitting a job is no fun."
Me:"Then you're not doing it right. I plan to go out with a real show, depending on the reason I quit."
DP:"What do you mean?"
Me:"Well, if I were to quit right now, DOLF is the one who is driving me crazy. So I'd probably set his desk on fire and dance naked around the flames."
Now, this was said right as we reached the Legal admin's desk, so I turned to her with nary a pause, "Hi! Does your recycle need emptied?"
It took me about 40 seconds to get and answer. First from the sputtering, then from the guffaws.
About 10 cubes down, someone threatened to tell DOLF what I said.
My answer:"Do you want me to give you his extension?
Somedays, and not nearly often enough, it's good to be the Boo....

PS-> Words I just uttered in the main lobby. "Well, keep in mind that Boss is one of four people in this building who can tell me what to do, and she's the only one who keeps my homicidal rage in check. I'd keep her happy if I was you."
